The Suriyakantha Center for Art and Culture is open to the public.

We welcome individual visitors and groups of up to 25 participants by appointment only. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Various options are available, ranging from a simple visit to combined tours with dining and cultural activities.

The visit includes a tour of the residence and its grounds, as well as the collection of crafts and folk art, the library and the art gallery housed within.

The guided tour is conducted by the owner of the premises, Dr. Jacques Soulié, a psychiatrist and former Director of the Alliance Française in Kandy.

The tour can be conducted in French or English, according to your preference.

Since its opening, the transformation of the Center's restaurant has been remarkable. From its modest beginnings as a café, it has swiftly blossomed into a charming dining establishment with the capacity to accommodate up to 25 guests.

Under the culinary expertise of the young chef Prasanna Upajeewa, assisted by his brother Desirathne, the "Meda Midula Café" offers traditional Sri Lankan cuisine infused with a generous dose of creativity and a touch of audacity.

In response to growing demand, the "Meda Midula Café" invites its visitors to culinary demonstrations, culminating in a meal. This provides privileged access to the secrets of the incomparable Sri Lankan gastronomy.
